Dear Brian & John
Four weeks ago today we had the most wonderful day of our lives, The Belfray Country Inn had a huge part to play.
In the weeks leading up to our wedding you, Brian, were always available to meet with and discuss any queries we may have had. You were always helpful, practical and approachable and indeed made the final few “hectic” weeks easy to organise. We had never been to a wedding reception at The Belfray and really didn’t know what quite to expect. Yes the wedding fayre is a good guide but it doesn’t do your venue any justice.
When we arrived on may 29th we wear greeted with a warm cheerful and pleasant welcome, given some “bubbly” to drink, congratulated and guided through to view our reception before the guests had a glimpse.
Well…. Were do we start? From the glittering chandelier to the twinkling of fairy lights to the wonderful elegant décor, the mouth watering cuisine, the always on hand staff, the mood setting lights to the waving of napkins while in chorus to “congratulations” the reception was quite simply…AMAZING! In fact one of my colleagues from Co. Armagh called it a reception “you would see in films” a “fairytale”. We want to thank you and your staff from the bottom of our hearts for a day/evening we and indeed our family and friends will never forget. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Belfray Country Inn as a wedding venue, the only thing is were so jealous we cant do it all over again.
With love and sincere best wishes

Where to start.... What an incredible venue for a wedding. My wife and I had our wedding on the 26th of September with a large portion of the wedding party (my side) coming from England.
From the start the Belfray management and staff were there to assist our plans even though we were trying to arrange the wedding predominantly from England.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are beyond excellent. No bog standard look like your basic hotel but immaculate rooms with an individual designer feel. Every guest we invited commented on the standard of these. The remaining facilities are to a high standard and i wouldn't hesitate to stay there for a night or two if the need arose.
The wedding itself was run like clockwork thanks to the Owner / Manager Brian. He and his staff worked tirelessly to make the event run smooth and meet all our needs. I can't emphasise enough the transformation the hotel has undertaken since Brian and his business partner have taken the Belfray on.
This place is truly excellent venue with great food, great staff, lovely rooms and good evening entertainment on weekends.
Thanks Belfray

On your big day you have so many things running through your mind, but I knew the moment we step foot in The Belfray we had nothing to worry about. All the stress of volcanic ash clouds and English guests not making it faded away. The old Inn at the cross is a distant memory as the new Belfray is a 5* venue on the outskirts of Derry. Brian and John are 2 professionals who have their finger on the pulse of running an excellent business.
The decor and ambiance are wonderful. It is truly a gorgeous hotel, immaculately stylish. Friendly staff and plush surroundings. All of our wedding guests stated they never had a better meal at a wedding!! Lots of delicious hot food and a prompt and professional service. We had the best day of our life and I will be strongly recommending the Belfray as a wedding reception venue to all.
A big hug and a massive thank you to Brian, John and all the staff.
